Set up sidebar display widgets for your social media feeds (Facebook and Twitter) for display in your Site Sidebar or on website pages through a shortcode.
- Click Tools & Widgets in the Admin Navigation or selec Social Media Feeds from the dropdown.
- Enter the full URL for your Facebook and Twitter Pages and adjust the settings to meet your needs.
For the feed widgets to work, be sure to enter the full link of your Facebook and/or Twitter pages, including https:// - Click Submit Changes.
- Next you have to add the feed to your sidebar or into a page.
NOTE: If you set up the feeds and they do not show, check your account links. Facebook links MUST be pages, not personal pages, which will not display in this widget. Using a personal profile for political campaigning purposes can get your account SUSPENDED by Facebook. Ad blockers in browsers can also prevent feeds from appearing.
Adding Social Media Feeds to your Site Sidebar
Once you have set up your feeds under Tools & Widgets > Social Media Feeds, you must activate the feeds in your site sidebar.
- In the admin navigation go to Site Setup and select Site Settings from the dropdown. Alternatively you can select Sidebar and Widgets from the submenu
- Select the Sidebar and Widgets Tab.
- Scroll down to Sidebar Widget Options.
- Check off Show Facebook Feed and/or Show Twitter Feed.
- Regenerate your site.
Adding Social Media Feeds to Site Page
When you create or edit a page, you can add forms and other items to your page through Shortcodes that are listed in the bottom of the page editor. There is also a plugin in the toolbar that will pop in the code.
To add the code from the Plugin.
- In the admin navigation go to Page Management and select Edit Pages from the dropdown.
- Click the edit button next to the page you want to edit.
- In the editor Click the Forms icon.
- Shortcode in the Editor:
- Click Submit to save page.
- Generate Site.
To paste the code into a page.
- In the admin navigation go to Page Management and select Edit Pages from the dropdown.
- Click the edit button next to the page you want to edit.
- If you have your Facebook and/or Twitter feed set up, you will see shortform codes for your social media feeds at the bottom of the editor.
- Highlight the shortcode and then paste it into the editor
- Click Submit to save page.
- Generate Site.
