Top Header Slideshow

This tool allows you to create an image slideshows that appears on the top of your home page or throughout your regular site pages. The images can include links, so you could have a slide for volunteering that links to your volunteer page, another slide for donate that links to your donation page and so on…

 

  • Before you start, you should first upload your images. You may want to name the files so they can be easily selected. (Ex. slide1.jpg, slide2.jpg, etc.)
  • If using a Narrow Layout, slide files must be 1140px width. If using a Wide Layout, slide files must be at least 2000px width Each image in your slideshow must have the SAME height dimensions for them to appear correctly on the website.

 

In the admin navigation, go to Tools and Widgets —> Website Widgets —>Top of Page Slideshow

 

Top Page Slideshow Options

  • Slide effect – Select how you want your slides to change. (Fade, Fold or SlideDown)
  • Slide transition speed – Determines how long the transition lasts. 500  is typical speed. You can adjust as you wish.
  • How long should each slide show – In miliseconds, so 3000 equals 3 seconds.

  • Turn on the Top Slideshow - Activate the Top Slideshow.
  • Add Top Slideshow on ALL primary pages -  Add the Slideshow across your site.


Below your main options, add your images. You can have up to five images for your top slideshow.

  • Image 1: Choose your image from the dropdownlist of images that have already been uploaded.
  • Description (optional): Short description about the image.
  • Link (optional): Full url of the page the image will link to. Include https://.

 

After you have filled in the information and have clicked the check bx to turn on the slideshow, click Update Slideshow.
